Josie Borain and I met up with Roddy Quin of Real Concerts at quaint Rose Cottage to shoot the publicity images for South Africa's rising star, actress Kim Engelbrecht. The setting seemed a little subtle seeing as the last time I saw Kim, she was running around a desolate landscape with a semi automatic weapon, in the American action TV series Dominion. Kim arrived and as the day progressed, we found Kim to be fun and down to earth, which is a rare commodity for actresses who have worked with legends like Colin Firth and Helen Mirren. Josie Borain is the go-to photographer in South Africa for local and international actors and celebrities. She has photographed actor Jared Leto and actress Taryn Manning for Interview Magazine, and, being a celebrity herself, has documented countless high profile individuals over the years.
