I had a lot of fun producing the marketing assets for BBC America for their TV series, The Watch.
Managing 4 sets simultaneously over 2 days.
We were immersed in a dystopian world, looking for the right spaces to capture all the video and print imagery. Spending time with the actors & getting to know their characters was truly a magical experience.
The BBC team also chose to work with three of the DOP’s from Artists & Legends.
Roice Nel directed & shot principle video, with Jonathan Tait on B cam. Nick Burton Moore shot the chroma key assets.
To add to the stature, the print campaign was shot by the very talented and humble Pari Dukovic. Social stills by Hayden Phipps.

We were privileged to work with two lions that were rescued from canned hunting farms when they were cubs by Luke Cornell, one of the top animal wranglers in South Africa. You can learn more about the work he is doing with animals here.

Eco hair care brand Martinsson King, based out of Stockholm, commissioned Artists & Legends to produce their latest brand film and photo shoot in Berlin, Germany. Principal photography by Kate Bellm. Russell Smith is a specialist in every genre he shoots. He is also a master of light. His skill at capturing fast action shots, and the finer details of still life, allows him to shoot for a wide range of clients. His latest shoot - Pastoral Kitchen has won gold at the One Eye Land Awards. Congrats Russell!

Josie Borain and I met up with Roddy Quin of Real Concerts at quaint Rose Cottage to shoot the publicity images for South Africa's rising star, actress Kim Engelbrecht. The setting seemed a little subtle seeing as the last time I saw Kim, she was running around a desolate landscape with a semi automatic weapon, in the American action TV series Dominion. Kim arrived and as the day progressed, we found Kim to be fun and down to earth, which is a rare commodity for actresses who have worked with legends like Colin Firth and Helen Mirren. Josie Borain is the go-to photographer in South Africa for local and international actors and celebrities. She has photographed actor Jared Leto and actress Taryn Manning for Interview Magazine, and, being a celebrity herself, has documented countless high profile individuals over the years. The production division and creatives at Artists & Legends have certainly had their adventurous experiences over the years, but none as exciting and challenging as Annie Leibovitz's latest shoot for Moncler. We would like to honour this brilliant photographer who not only continues to shoot exquisite images, but goes the distance for the ultimate shot. Having to hike across an icy world and threatening weather conditions, Annie handles the elements like the pro she is. We know how grueling production can be and we admire her professionalism.
